1. About this policy

Kehai is provided by App to Learn Pte. Ltd. (“we”, “us”). This policy describes information handling in Kehai for iPhone and iPad and on kehai.day.

2. Information on your device

Kehai stores notes, drawings, birthday, life chapters, personal dates, and preferences on your device to provide its features. Language, region, and Japanese-keyboard settings are checked locally to suggest an initial reading style. The app does not upload these records to us or RevenueCat.

Kehai has no cloud account or synchronization service for these records. Your device may include app data in iCloud or computer backups, depending on your settings. We do not have access to those backups.

Optional permissions

• Calendars: With permission, Kehai reads calendar names, identifiers and colors, and event titles, dates, times, and all-day status to display your plans. Apple's permission is called “Full Access”; Kehai uses it to read existing events. Event contents are held in memory, not uploaded or saved in a separate event database. Calendar selections are saved locally. Original calendars may sync through Apple or your calendar provider.
• Location: The local Moon view uses approximate location while the app is in use. Coordinates are rounded and held in memory, not saved or uploaded. Location requests stop outside the foreground. The Japan reference view does not need location permission.
• Motion: Scenery tilt uses device motion locally, without keeping or uploading a motion history. Compatible audio features may use Apple's spatial-audio and head-tracking services.

Calendar and location access can be revoked in device Settings. Scenery tilt can be disabled in Kehai. These permissions are optional.

3. Purchases

Apple processes App Store payments. Kehai uses RevenueCat for purchase options, transaction validation, Pro access, purchase restoration, and purchase management.

RevenueCat uses a randomly generated app user identifier. This is a pseudonymous identifier, not a Kehai account. Its SDK processes purchase receipts and transaction identifiers, products, purchase dates, subscription or entitlement status, and technical information such as device model, app and operating-system versions, platform, locale, and last-seen time. The SDK also sends Apple’s vendor device identifier (IDFV) with service requests and synchronizes the device’s App Tracking Transparency permission status where available. Network requests expose an IP address, which RevenueCat may use to determine country.

RevenueCat also processes purchase-screen and Customer Center interactions, such as views, closes, purchase attempts, and cancellations, with session, offering, and product details. Optional purchase-management survey responses are processed if submitted. This information supports purchase services and purchase/paywall analytics. Requests may occur without a purchase. Kehai does not supply RevenueCat with your name, email address, advertising identifier, or the device records described above.

4. Website and support

Hostinger hosts kehai.day. Page requests involve connection information such as IP address, requested page, time, browser information, and any referring page supplied by the browser. Hosting logs may be used for delivery, troubleshooting, and security. The website does not include advertising or third-party analytics scripts. See Hostinger's privacy policy.

If you contact us, the contact details, message, and attachments you provide are processed to handle the enquiry. Correspondence is also processed by the communication service used.

5. Service providers and processing

The services described above process information for purchases, hosting, and support. Apple and other providers also process information under their own policies. Providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States and Europe. RevenueCat describes its processing and transfer arrangements in its Data Processing Addendum.

Where a legal basis is required, processing is based on providing requested services, legitimate interests in operating and securing the services and understanding purchase performance, legal obligations, or consent where required. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

6. Retention and deletion

• Device records: Use Kehai's editing and deletion controls for individual records, or delete the app and its data in device Settings. Offloading preserves app data. Backups are managed separately and may retain earlier copies. We cannot retrieve or delete records held only on your device or in your backups.
• Calendars and location: Kehai does not persist event contents or location coordinates. Revoking calendar permission does not delete original calendar events.
• Purchases: Records may be retained to provide and restore access, manage subscriptions, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting requirements. Deleting Kehai does not cancel subscriptions or automatically delete Apple or RevenueCat records. Manage subscriptions through your Apple account.
• Support and hosting: Retention depends on the enquiry, unresolved issues, operational and security needs, legal requirements, and provider settings.

7. Privacy requests

Depending on applicable law and its conditions, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. Use the Contact section for requests. Verification or information identifying the relevant record may be needed.

8. Updates

Revisions to this policy will be published here with an updated effective date.
